couples Therapist Warrenville, Wheaton, Illinois, Chicago, Naperville, Utah, salt lake city, park City, life coach, relationship Coach, perinatal mental health, anxiety, premarital counseling, postpartum, infertility

I am based in Illinois serving therapy clients online in both Illinois and Utah.

As a Board Certified Coach (BCC), I provide coaching services online in the US and Canada.

Hi, I’m Catherine, LMFT, PMH-C, BCC

I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m the founder of Aspen Counseling & Coaching and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Board-Certified Coach (BCC) based in Illinois. I help individuals and couples build strong, secure, and fulfilling relationships, because healthy relationships aren’t found, they’re created with intention, insight, and the right support.

Therapy for Couples & Individuals

I specialize in couples counseling, premarital counseling, and relationship therapy for partners who feel stuck in conflict or disconnected. I also work with individuals who want to improve their mental and emotional health and well-being.

My approach is grounded in research-backed methods like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method. Sessions are warm, collaborative, and honest, never cold or clinical. Together, we’ll identify what’s keeping you stuck, connect the dots between past and present, and give you practical tools to create meaningful change.

Perinatal & Maternal Mental Health Support

I have advanced training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and support women and families through infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. I’m certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International, and I’m passionate about helping parents feel supported during this vulnerable and transformative season.

Coaching for Lasting Change

As a Board-Certified Coach, I also offer goal-oriented coaching for clients ready to grow. Coaching focuses on clear action steps, accountability, and forward momentum while still honoring emotional depth. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, working on communication skills, or stepping into a new season, we’ll create a practical plan you can start using right away.

I’ve worked in both private practice and hospital-based mental health settings, and I bring real-world experience, warmth, and authenticity into every session. I live outside Chicago with my husband and our two children, and I understand the beauty and chaos of everyday life.

If you’re ready to strengthen your relationship, improve your mental health, invest in your own growth and development, rebuild trust, or finally understand the “why do I keep doing this?” moments, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

You don’t have to do this alone.
